The Evil Queen, also known as the Wicked Queen, is a fictional character appearing in Disney's animated film *Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs* (1937). She is the film's main antagonist.
Consumed by vanity and a desperate need to be the "fairest of them all," the Evil Queen's obsession with her beauty leads her to plot against her stepdaughter, Snow White. She orders a huntsman to kill Snow White in the woods, and bring back her heart as proof.
When the huntsman fails to do so, the Evil Queen uses dark magic to transform herself into an old hag and tricks Snow White into eating a poisoned apple.
She is a prominent member of the Disney Villains franchise and a classic symbol of envy and narcissistic rage.
